41. Foolow, Great Hucklow peak district walk

41. Foolow, Great Hucklow 30th January 2014.

We parked in a layby onTrot Lane which is left off the A623 just before the Litton turn off then set off north across fields to a lane, turning right towards Stanley House. Proceeding along the lane, taking a left and then a right heading south east to the A623 and just before on the left taking the tideswell lane/ bridleway. Passing a corrugated building then taking the next lane on the left. After a short distance turn left and into Foolow. The Bulls head offered Belgian Blue beer which was bluey purple in colour and tasted flowery. Very nice. North along the road then take the path on the left through the fields spying the sinkhole from a distance to our right. We wanted to get closer but it had barriers and warning signs all around that area. We turned left along Hucklow edge and into Great Hucklow for a pint and a brew in the Queen Anne. South across the fields to the car.
