33. Chatsworth and Baslow walk

33. Chatsworth and Baslow 23rd November 2013

We don’t often do it but this time paid for an all day ticket at the main car park in Baslow. From the car park turn right south east down church lane then right before the bridge following the path sign heading south to chatsworth house. Eastish past the hunting lodge then after a bit of winding north to Dobb edge following the track to the road and the Robin Hood public house awaiting to satisfy our dry throats. Up the slip road and after a short way taking the path on the left north past Birchen Edge where we found a perching rock to eat our sandwiches on. Nelsons column high on the rocks with plenty of climbers around. Then down through very marshy ground to the road junction and north west up Clodhall lane taking the gate on the left. Wellingtons monument and eagles rock prompted more photos. Down Bar road and then down into Baslow and the car.
