Across the bridge from the parking spot as shown on the map turn right down the lane south east to Top Farm then double back along the road to spot Knowsley Cross on the left just after a concreted path and gate. The metal railings were a clue and the cross was almost hidden by the bushes, didn’t see it straight away. Join the path north which runs along the river manifold, staying on the main path into Longnor. The Cheshire Cheese was a very welcoming pub but sat enjoying the warmth of the sun outside. Still north out of Longnor down past the sewage works north east across to Green Lane then down across the fields to Beggars Bridge, a little bit further then south east to join the road and back to the car. )
